This week is FSU's big opportunity
To be honest, I was very concerned about the Duke game, and it was not even basketball season. Duke is starting to act like the Vandy of the ACC, and I am not quite sure who we are acting like. I was just hoping we would not be their breakthrough game. Nothing great, nothing exciting, just a simple victory over a team we used to beat by 50. Nothing really to say; besides, I want to save room for some more important matters. Now down to the extreme business. We could actually go 4-1 these last few games. It will not be easy but it is attainable. The ACC championship is not much of a reality but 8-4 or even better 9-3 is good with all that has gone on this year, right, Eric? We must take it one game at a time. With Boston College, we are now in the position to do what has been done to us for years: upset the No. 2 team in the nation. Unfortunately, most of the things in our favor are intangibles. We have played in more big games like this one, and then there's those ragin' Cajun fans in Louisiana who want LSU moved back to No. 2. I am sure they will be heard all the way up in Massachusetts, so it is great to have them on your side. This game is a lot like the Florida/Georgia or the USC/Stanford game - on paper they beat us in every way possible. However, I am going to try and throw a Lee Corso, "Not so fast my friend." FSU believes they can beat BC. They know they are living a dream that should become a nightmare, just like it has for UF. Oh yeah, by the way, it is a night game, perfect time for a nightmare, plus College Gameday is in town. Advantage us. Scalp 'em all, take no prisoners. Glory, glory Georgia (42-30)! Eric, Eric, Eric. Where do I even begin (42-30)? First and foremost, Coach Bowden is going nowhere (42-30). Just in case you did not notice Joe Pa is not undefeated and he lost Saturday, so I guess we gained another game on him (42-30). Besides, he is older so he should go first (42-30). Three-conference losses: maybe Urban should sharpen up his resume (42-30). Maybe he could just announce he is going to the coach the pros and then just change his mind the following week (42-30). As for your question, I did some Q&A of my own on some fill-in-the-blank questions with some of your fans Saturday in Jacksonville (42-30). Nothing tricky, just name five UF football players or three coaches (42-30). Ninety percent could not. (42-30). Which just proves my theory Gator fans are just naturally obnoxious and what better colors to choose then Orange and Blue; the big goofy looking Glitter Gator head is just an added bonus (42-30). I wonder how many razor blades were out Sunday morning (42-30)? I was ready to rake Florida over the coals, but that is Trey's job this week and I need more of a HBO version to express my true feelings (42-30). Congratulations, Trey. Maybe I will get a chance to boast this year (42-30). By the way, I never ever, ever pull for Florida. Ever (42-30). My vote for the Pontiac Game Changing Performance has to be the celebration after Georgia's first score: simply brilliant.
