We've had a great response from you guys since we introduced our Pet of the Week contest. So thanks for taking the time to share your photos- we're always happy to make your pets famous.

Just to make sure you know where to upload your photos, here is the spot:Nassau Pets when you're there, click "Submit a photo to this album" to do just that!

And don't forget- you can share any photos with us that you'd like, and here is the spot for that: Your photos

We're going to the dogs!

I’m pleased to announce that My Nassau Sun and mynassausun.com are going to the dogs. And cats. And ferrets. And snakes. And iguanas. And horses. And cherry-headed conures. And whatever pet you love.

Starting Aug. 4, we will feature the Pet of the Week in the pages of My Nassau Sun to showcase the photos uploaded to our Nassau Pets gallery here on mynassausun.com.

To post your pet photo, just click on “Upload a photo” at the top of the page and add your photo to the Nassau Pets album.

Not sure how to get that shot of Rover chasing his tail online? There’s a tutorial at the top of the Share Your Photos page that will walk you through it.

A mini-golden in my purse! Too much to ask?

I would like a golden retriever or a lab but do they have them in "mini" yet?  I know they have goldendoodles abd labradoodles as they have crossed them with poodles.  But what about miniature golden retrievers, etc.?  Come on scientists who are tinkering with genetics... you probaly can cross a golden with a watermelon, but let's get pure full-grown goldens down to say, purse-size... that's what I'm talkin' about!  :-)
