It’s been a busy month for the club and looks to be even busier in April and May. Members attended the Republican Executive Club and National Federation of Republican Women’s joint Lincoln Day dinner where the guest speaker was Lt. Governor Jeff Kottkamp. There was no shortage of our elected officials, local, state and national or candidates running for office. Congressman Ander Crenshaw and his lovely wife Kitty took time out from their busy schedule to visit with everyone. It was a great opportunity to speak with our elected officials one-on-one. Westside Club wins Club of the Year Award
The Westside Republican Club of Nassau County was presented with the 2007-2008 small Club of the Year Award, Saturday, March 29 by Republican Party Chairman, Jim Greer. The award is in recognition of those clubs that have increased in membership, worked toward registering voters, helped in campaigns for Republican candidates, and participated in community events. We were honored to be the recipient. Winners of the Medium Club Award was "On To Of The World" Republican Club and of the Large Club--Charlotte County. There were over 150 clubs in attendance at the Club Summit in Orlando.
Westside Republican Club Meeting
The Westside Republican Club held its regular meeting January 8 due to the first Tuesday falling on January 1. The Club voted to participate in the Relay for Life and is looking for additional Republicans that would like to walk on our team. Call 845-6910 (Republican Satellite Office) if you want to become a "Westside Walker". Last year we raised $5000 for cancer research. A report given from the December 18 meeting with Rep. Aaron Bean regarding Amendment 1 on the January 29 ballot. Westside Republican Club Christmas Social
The Westside Republican Club held their monthly meeting last night. It was a combination meeting and social event. They voted to join the Greater Nassau Chamber of Commerce and participate in the Westside Relay for Life. Visitors included Brandon Patty, the NE Florida Campaign manager for Mitt Romney and Mrs. Tommy Seagraves. Members County Commissioner Barry Holloway and his wife, Candy were there. |
